IILA’s Communications and Digital Advocacy Officer, Rose Nabwire, attended the Effective Public Health Advocacy Workshop held in Kigali, Rwanda. The workshop, organized by Nigeria Health Watch, convened civil society organizations (CSOs) and media professionals from Kenya, Rwanda, and Ghana to strengthen advocacy capacity across the region.

The interactive sessions focused on campaign planning, media storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication. Participants explored innovative techniques to drive impactful advocacy that supports public health policy and regulatory reform.

Rose Nabwire’s participation reinforces IILA’s commitment to building internal capacity, sharing regional insights, and adopting effective advocacy strategies. The workshop also marked a step forward in strengthening cross-country collaborations and positioning communications at the center of sustainable public health advocacy in Africa.
