IILA was honoured to join the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and partners at the ACBF Tobacco Control Annual Coordination Meeting held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. This forum brought together grantees from across the continent and provided critical training on program and financial management, corporate governance, risk management, procurement, monitoring & evaluation, accountability, and gender mainstreaming—skills essential for organizational sustainability.
The meeting served as a vital space for experience-sharing and cross-country learning, strengthening collaborative efforts to drive effective and long-lasting tobacco control initiatives across Africa.
IILA was represented by Ken Marau (Programmes Manager) and Emmanuel Olweyo (Finance and Admin Manager). Their participation reinforced IILA’s strategic approach to tobacco control in Kenya, enriched by best practices and success models shared by other ACBF sub-grantees.
