IILA is a member of Haki Madini, a community centered coalition bringing together communities in and around mining areas, CSOs, faith-based organizations and individuals engaging in the mining industry with the primary aim of promoting responsible stewardship of mining resources. IILA is also a member of the Kenya Civil Society Platform on Oil and Gas (KCSPOG). The platform which seeks to enhance accountability of the players in the oil and gas industry to the residents of the oil extraction areas in particular and the citizenry in
general.
